Business Development Manager Architecture, Engineering & Construction

Digital building is becoming a norm in the construction sector, and we see more and more GeoBIM applications being used to improve productivity in all the construction processes. We strongly believe in the added value of GeoBIM for construction companies, contractors and study agencies.

As a Business Development Manager for the AEC sector (Architecture, Engineering & Construction), you will focus on the market development of GEOBIM with both existing customers and especially new customers. You will help them to understand and work out projects where GIS technology improves their business and processes. You will become the thought leader on GEOBIM within our organization. You will inform and inspire potential customers, dynamize your network and build the GEOBIM community in Belgium and Luxembourg.

• You are the point of contact in the sector for building owners, engineering firms, contractors, and architectural firms.
• You are focused on the development of the market, and you are/will be the thought leader for GEOBIM in Belgium and Luxembourg.
• You will help the customers in both the process and the improvement of the process to achieve the added value of GEOBIM.
• You are the consulting partner for the customers. You understand how their business model and processes work within the construction world (roads, buildings, Master planning, …).
• You are aware (and follow) the new trends and you can indicate how technology can help (potential) customers to solve bottlenecks, improve their business processes and realize their strategy.
• You build a long-term relationship with the customer and guide the customer throughout the process.
• You create your network of influencers and dynamically manage your network.
• You create the GIS community for GEOBIM in Belgium and Luxembourg and are responsible for dynamizing the Community by informing and inspiring through info-sessions, workshops, webinars, …
• You work closely together with the international group of AEC responsible within the Esri network (in the other European countries and with the team in the US).

• At least 5 years of professional experience in the construction industry (roads, buildings, master planning, etc.).
• Experience in sales and/or implementation of IT solutions is a plus.
• You have an IT solution-oriented level of thinking and you have a technical background with a very good understanding of Software and Technology (and preferably CAD/GIS).
• Customer and results oriented.
• Strong communication skills.
• Analytically strong and structured in approach.
• Team player.
• You are fluent in Dutch, French and English (both written and spoken).
